From the Cockpit:

Matt Kenseth: “Since they repaved Kansas, we’ve run pretty well there.  We haven’t always had the best finishes, but it has been a pretty good track for our No. 20 team.  I don’t know exactly why it’s become one of our better tracks, and I have always liked racing at Kansas, but I can’t tell you specifically why it’s become that way for our team.  There are just some places that you go to where it seems like our Camrys run better than others, and overall, Kansas has been a decent track for us.  The key at Kansas is to have that balance where you have decent speed on the front side of the run as well as the back side of the run.  You also need your car to be versatile enough to be able to run high.  The challenge of Kansas is to find the right line and the right grip in order to get your car set-up in that area, but also being able to move around and pass when necessary.”

From the Pit Box:

Jason Ratcliff: “I think a lot of times we see a driver that is really good at a particular race track.  I’m not sure that you can ever put your finger on exactly why that is, but you do know that when we go back to that race track, the chances of having a good run, are pretty good looking back on the stats and history.  For Kansas, Matt has always run well there throughout his career, but especially since they repaved it.  It’s a different tire for this weekend than what we had there last year, but it’s still Kansas, and I think that it’s one that is high on our No. 20 team list because we have done so well there in the past with poles and opportunities to win.  It’s a place that we always look forward to racing at, and this weekend should be a good one for us.”
