Uncertain Off Season Looms for Ragan, Reutimann, and Vickers

As Carl Edwards and Tony Stewart duke it out for the 2011 Sprint Cup there are many other drivers and teams that are already making plans for 2012. Reutimann Wins First Pole of Season at RIR

David Reutimann won the Coors Light Pole Award for tomorrow night’s 54th Annual Wonderful Pistachios 400, the first of his season. His lap speed of 127.383 mph in 21.196 seconds was good enough to bump Jamie McMurray from the provisional pole. This was the fourth pole for Reutimann in 161 career NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races.

Gordon Leads First Practice at Richmond (Updated)

Jeff Gordon picked up where he left off after his victory at Atlanta by leading the first Cup practice today at Richmond International Raceway. Gordon lead the hour and 50 minute session over teammate Jimmie Johnson. The other two drivers, Mark Martin and Dale Earnhardt Jr., from the Hendrick Motorsports stable finished 10th and 22nd respectively.

Kyle Busch Wins Inaugural Quaker State 400 at Kentucky Speedway

Kyle Busch said earlier this weekend in the media center that he’s never won an inaugural race. Well, he has now. He will forever in his career be the “Winner of the Inaugural Quaker State 400 at Kentucky Speedway”. He led the most laps (125), and from early on it was obvious he was the car to beat. he This is his third victory in 2011 and his 11th top-10 finish. The victory also puts Busch in the series points lead by four over Carl Edwards.

MIS Heluva Good! 400 He Said…She Said
